Project Indicators

The POLITIZO ENERGIAKA Project directly contributes to the achievement of Specific Objective RSO2.1 – Energy Efficiency of the Interreg VI-A Greece–Cyprus Programme, through specific and measurable output and result indicators, which are monitored throughout the entire implementation period.

🔹 Output Indicators
The implementation of the Project leads to the following tangible and quantifiable outputs:

  • 49 joint cross-border cooperation actions (RC081), including:
    • 1 Joint Methodology Guide
    • 1 Communication Plan
    • 1 online living-lab platform
    • 3 joint visits to the pilot sites
    • 4 informational leaflets
    • 2 videos
    • 2 public events
    • 10 Facebook posts
    • 1 joint results exploitation manual
    • 2 press releases
    • 20 action plans for energy upgrading projects
    • 2 demonstrations of the application of the joint solution
  • Provision of guidance through the platform to support the initiation of relevant energy upgrading actions in cultural buildings (Indicator RC0116).
  • Testing of the joint approach in 3 pilot projects (RC084) implemented in monuments of high architectural value:
    • Mykonos Art Station
    • Rethymno Art Station
    • Building of the Holy Metropolis of Cyprus in Nicosia
  • Development of an innovative joint decision-support solution for energy upgrading projects in cultural and historic buildings (Indicator RCO104).
  • Preparation of preliminary maturity studies for 20 projects in monuments within the cross-border area by the end of the 2021–2027 Programming Period.

🔹 Result Indicators
Through the implementation of the Project, substantial and long-term results are achieved:

  • Establishment and operation of a cross-border living-lab solution for the energy upgrading of cultural and historic buildings, tailored to the specific characteristics of Greece and Cyprus.
  • Strengthening the decision-making capacity of monument owners and managers through a digital tool that takes into account:
    • architectural and construction constraints,
    • climatic zones,
    • European policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support for the maturation of energy efficiency projects in at least 20 monuments within the cross-border area by 2030 (Indicator RCR104).
  • Creation of the cross-border network “POLITIZO ENERGIAKA”, which will remain active beyond the completion of the Project, ensuring the sustainability and long-term exploitation of its results.
  • Indirect benefits for:
    • visitors and tourists,
    • local communities, and
    • the public, through increased awareness of energy efficiency and the protection of cultural heritage.
