Lead Beneficiary
The Athens School of Fine Arts (ASFA) is the highest public educational institution in Greece in the field of visual arts and artistic creation. Based in Athens and with a history of more than 180 years, ASFA plays a central role in education, research, and the promotion of contemporary culture, actively contributing to the connection between art, society, the built environment, and modern sustainability challenges.
ASFA acts as the Lead Beneficiary of the Project and bears the overall responsibility for the administration, coordination, and quality monitoring of its implementation. The institution has long-standing experience in the implementation of co-financed national and European projects and holds a decisive role in the cultural and artistic education sector at national level.
Within the framework of the Project, ASFA:
- leads to the design of the joint methodology for the energy upgrading of cultural buildings,
- coordinates the development of the digital decision-support solution,
- implements the pilot applications in Greece, and
- ensures knowledge transfer and the coherence of cross-border cooperation.
FILOKALIA Organization
Project Partner
The FILOKALIA Organization is a non-profit, non-governmental organization based in Nicosia. It was established with the aim of supporting and promoting educational, cultural, and social actions for children, young people, and adults, as well as implementing initiatives to combat poverty and unemployment, with the ultimate goal of improving quality of life and strengthening social cohesion.
The FILOKALIA is the Project Partner from Cyprus and has extensive experience in the management of cultural and ecclesiastical heritage, as well as in the implementation of cross-border cooperation projects between Greece and Cyprus. Through its institutional and operational links with cultural and religious monuments of high historical and architectural value, it makes a substantial contribution to the pilot implementation of the joint solution in Cyprus.
In parallel, the FILOKALIA:
- supports dissemination and communication activities of the Project results,
- contributes to educational and awareness-raising actions, and
- strengthens the sustainability and long-term exploitation of the Project outcomes.
