The Project establishes a solid common framework between Greece and Cyprus to ensure that cultural heritage is actively supported through energy upgrading interventions. It promotes the preservation of the authenticity of historic and cultural buildings while simultaneously enhancing their energy efficiency through practices that respect the unique character of each monument.
The tools developed within the Project contribute to the systematic support of cultural infrastructure through a shared approach and joint methodology for energy upgrading.
The POLITIZO ENERGIAKA Project proposes common solutions that are implemented and tested in three historic and cultural building complexes in Mykonos, Rethymno, and Nicosia. Based on these pilot applications, a practical guide is produced, presenting a common methodology for the energy upgrading of historic and listed buildings.
Through targeted communication activities, the public is informed and sensitized on the sustainable management of cultural heritage.
The Project results are intended to be used by stakeholders involved in monuments and facilities of high cultural value.
